Alexa - Phoenix, AZ Newborn Phototgrapher
Some of you might remember a Newborn Contest we did back in March. I'm so happy to announce Alexa was born earlier this month! Her parents had been trying to have a baby for 10 years and she's the answer to their prayers. She was a doll and did great during our session, slept most of the time. I feel so lucky to be part of their journey and document this joyous time in their lives. Here are just some of her pictures from our session...

Photographing this newborn was certainly a treat! This 4 day old newborn belongs to a wonderful friend of mine. His two older brothers are super excited to have him join the gang, you may remember them from this previous session. Their house if full of all kinds of boy toys ready for him to play with. So, when I showed up for our session the boys had left their play mat along with cars, trains and planes where out. How much "boy" can you get?!

He gave me lots of sweet baby smiles!

I love editing pictures. I never quite know how I'm going to edit pictures until I open then up and see where the inspiration takes me. I always like to flip back and forth and see what a big difference editing a picture can some times make.
Well, Danielle asked me a few times before our session about photoshoping images if Josh, her 18 month old, got hurt. I said for sure, not a problem. Of course a week before our session he got hurt and had a couple of scabs on his forehead for our session. Per Danielle... he was right on schedule. lol
Well, we decided to take a family picture, and to be honest Josh was not excited about smiling. There was just too much going on around him pay attention to me. So, I had to work the smile out of him. I started acting silly and playing with his snacks, popping some in his mouth and quickly snapping away as this made him smile. So I thought I would share this before and after picture.

Thank goodness for Photoshop!

I had so much fun with this session. We ran around, road rides, and there was even candy for Josh, the little guy! We also took pictures of Danielle's belly, she is due next month and I can't wait to meet her new addition! She was brave enough not to find out what the sex of the baby is! So, the suspense is killing me. ah Here are some pics from their session...

This photo cracks me up as we were doing a different silhouette picture and Joe tells me he wants to do one with Josh upside down! lol Josh wasn't very excited about it, but we all had a good laugh.

Meet little princess Mackezie! You might recall her mommy's maternity session. Like baby Elin, she was also a Valentines' day baby. Her mommy probably felt like this girl was never going to come out. lol She went over her 40 weeks and then had a 22 hour long labor. phew! But with all the waiting came a sweet baby girl. Here's her newborn debut on the blog...
