This was a fun engagement photo session on South Mountain. Todd's family at one point owned the land we took pictures on. Now it's Todd and Heather's extended backyard as it's only walking distance from their home. It was a beautiful and peaceful place with lots of wild life. These two were definitely a treat, they were fun and goofy. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in Nov., but for now enjoy some of their engagement pictures!
A couple of weeks ago I blogged about how I had gone to downtown Tempe scouting locations. Before I showed up at the session I had a vision on what we were going to do. But as we started walking I spotted a location that I hadn't seen. So half of what I had planned for our session went out the window. But sometimes you just have to go where the inspiration takes you. Here are some of the pictures...
I normally prefer photos as they are and not overly processed. I think this is a timeless look and won't ever go out of style. But as I processed this image and I felt like it called for a vintage look. Something sweet and I'm loving how it turned out.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't want to leave this session. Jameson was a perfect newborn. No peeing or pooing occurred during our session and he was such an awesome sleeper. Ah, just perfect and snugly! Here are some of his newborn pictures we captured...
