McWilliams's Maternity Photo Shoot

It is such an exciting time in a person's life when there's a baby on the way. This wonderful couple are just in that stage, they are expecting their first baby. It's a baby girl, her name is picked out, and her room is ready for her arrival. I'm so excited to meet her too! I'll be doing her newborn pictures. Here are the maternity pictures...

Day Twenty-two

I'm finding myself carrying around my camera more often so that I have a picture to share everyday. When I first started this challenge I was having a hard time coming up with ideas on what to photograph, but through this process I'm realizing that you never know when the next great picture opportunity is going to be. There have been countless times when I've left my house without my camera to only wish I would have taken it. Today I headed out the house bright and early and on my way to my destination I had to wait for this train to go by. The idea of dragging my shutter popped into my mind. Sometimes it's fun to add some movement to a picture...

Day Twenty one

I couldn't decide on just one picture.

Day Nineteen

My life

Do I need to say more?

Sometimes I wish we could leave the house without shoes, searching for them can be quite the task. Because of that reason I've purchased a few cheap pairs of sandals at Old Navy for the boys just to have as backups. Scott and Spencer are just a couple of shoes size apart but can sometimes get away wearing each other shoes, at least Scott can. Well, the other day we were in a bit of a hurry to who knows where. Kids where all loaded up in the car and I looked back to check everyone had shoes. Spencer had jumped in the car without shoes! I ran back in and just grabbed the first 3 black sandals I could find figuring at least there would be a right and left foot in the mix. When we arrived at our destination Tyler took a closer look at the sandals trying to decide which ones Spencer should wear. And wouldn't you guess... they were all lefties! HA What are the chances?! So yes, this is my life. Always searching for shoes, most of the time finding only one of each pair. This morning as we were getting ready for school Scott was helping me look for his shoes and brought me these sandals, thankfully we found his shoes and he didn't need to wear these.

On a different topic...

Lately, I've been noticing such lovely sunset! Growing up I'd hear about how "beautiful" Arizona sunsets where, but I just thought it's a sunset. Every state has one. It wasn't until I visited Oregon last year and realized their sunsets weren't as pretty as Arizona. Which is okay, Oregon is still green and beautiful, and I'd love to move there rain, cold and all! But I'd miss the sunsets here.

So, as I was driving around this evening I stopped and took this picture.

Day Eighteen- My little one

I was looking around for inspiration for something to take a picture of today. I decided to walk into my youngest bedroom. Knowing she was sleeping. She's now eighteen months and it seems she's grown just too fast for me...

I couldn't resist a picture of her peacefully sleeping in her crib. I always wonder what her dreams are about. Then, after a few pictures the sound of my camera woke her up.

It turned into a mini shoot from there. I wanted to capture how she looks and what she does when she wakes up. Usually she just lays quietly in her crib. I swears she's the best baby you could ask for, but I'm a little bias. :)

I couldn't pick just one picture... together the pictures tell the story...

Wedding Giveaway Winners

I'm still it bit baffled at the response I got from the giveaway!

A whopping ONE entry!

I guess no one is getting married except for Ashley and Josh this year. lol

Ok, so I admit most of my fans are moms already married with multiple kids. It also seems everyone that wanted to enter was either getting married on 11-1-11 or 11-11-11. I've learned a lot from my first Giveaway contest, which is always good! Also, if you are one of the couples that were not able to enter the giveaway...

well...

I got some GOOD news for you!

I'm giving the next 3 couples 50% off my wedding packages!

Now here's the two lovebirds' story...

We knew one another through mutual friends, saw each other around school and never really talked, but one night I was sad and he came up to me and we talked and stuff and later that night he was texting me. He was so sweet to me, and always told me such sweet things. I new he was the one for me when went out on a date and it was perfect I remember going back to his house and sitting on the couch together watching Open Season, a cute little movie. I had butterflies in my tummy when he grabbed my hand to hold, and when he kissed me it was like something in the movies! It just felt so perfect and from then on we have spent every moment together cherishing every bit of it. Last April, he went of into the air force and we stayed so strong through that all writing letters to each other, and cherishing the 5 minute phone calls we got. We have been together for almost 3 years now and I have loved every minute of it! I wouldn't trade him for the world! And I cant wait to become his wife :)

Day Seventeen

We recently move into our new house and one of the things I'm loving about the neighborhood is that on certain holidays the boys scouts line our streets with flags. It just looks beautiful. Today was one of those days...

Sunday, January 16

Day Sixteen

For Christmas the boys got a trampoline. Since then they pretty much use it off and on all day long. They love to jump like bunnies and try to jump next to each other to make the other fall down. They sometimes bring balls in and run around and make up games.

Today the husband got all dressed up. And wouldn't you guess... he was too shy for my camera! Well, at least for me to post it on my blog. But I love when he gets all dress up...

Day Twelve

Today has just been one of those days were I was running against time. I felt like all day I was running from one place to the next taking the kids to school, morning work out, editing pictures, picking kids up from school, taking the kids to the sitter's house, business lunch meeting, picking kids up from sitter's, taking the kids to karate, taking the kids back to sitter's, going to business event, picking the kids up from the sitter's. Thank heavens for crock pot dinners and an awesome sitter! So, instead of the normal group theme I've been doing I thought this was more fitting for me today... checking the time!

I'm exhausted.

Logue Family

Here's another session from Dec. We had lots of fun playing in the leaves, riding the carousel, and the grand finale riding the train! Now that's a session! Here are some of the pictures...

Tuesday, January 11

Day Eleven

Make a photograph today that features or uses a liquid as a subject.

Monday, January 10

Day Ten

Create a photograph today that illustrates or shows rhythm.

Sunday, January 9

Day Nine

Embrace the shadows today and make a photograph dominated by dark tones, also known as a low-key image.

Day Eight

Yesterday was a test on the 365 Project and I have to say that weekends might be a little tricky, since I don't like to spend too much time on the computer or I might even avoid it all together to spend the time with those I love! That being said, I did take a picture. I had my first session of the year on Saturday with Danielle and her husband Brandon, they are expecting a baby girl in a couple of weeks! I can't wait to see her! So this session is actually both for my project and sneak peek! The theme was...

Make a photograph today to serve as a special memory of somebody or something.

That was easy!

Day Seven

For a loooong time I used to not leave my house without my camera. We were pretty much inseparable. I didn't want to miss any memorable moments that could be captured in a picture.

That was until sometime after baby #3 came along.

There were times when I was trying to control two toddlers and holding a baby with a camera hanging from my shoulders along with a huge diaper bag and I would bend down to do something for the kids and the camera would go swinging barely missing their poor head. Over time I slowly stopped taking it outside the house. It was logistically hard, not to mentions making sure it didn't bang against a wall or something and not losing it! So today like any normal day we went out and the camera stayed at home. We were standing in line when I saw the perfect picture for my theme and I had no camera! But thanks to digital technology I had my droid phone! Which saved me! So here's my picture... Converging lines...

Day Six

It is 10:22pm and I'm already posting. This might be a first! LOL I'm really enjoying trying to think outside the box and taking pictures of things around me. Really planning out my daily creative mini shoot.

Except today I had a block.

I knew what I wanted to take a picture of... something contrasty with a color pop. I'm kinda following this group on Twitter. (I don't know how to use Twitter, but that should be a post for another day. ) So about 9:30pm I'm walking around the house holding my camera and since it's dark it also has the external flash attached to it. The following conversation follows with the husband...

Tyler - Are you looking for something to take a picture of? (He's caught on to me, probably thinks I look foolish the way I'm staring at everything.)
Me- Yeah, I'm trying to find something contrasty with a color pop. Look I already took this picture what do you think?
Tyler- How about the Legos?

I guess he wasn't crazy about my first picture. lol How did I not come up with that first?! They went perfect with the theme. So this was my favorite shot...

Baby Brody

Here's another session from last month! I know I've mentioned I love newborn sessions before, and I wanted to say it again... I love newborns! lol I just love seeing them and holding them. They always smell so yummy! They are fun to pose too. Brody did make me work for his posing. But that's okay, I love a challenge. :) So here are some of his pictures....
